The US is home to over 16,000 of the world’s 40,000 golf courses, with tremendous variety of climate, landscape and course architecture. We find that many of our guests prefer to focus their travels on golf resorts with convenient access to multiple courses, where play is maximized and travel time minimized.

  • Pebble Beach

    Not just the greatest meeting of land and sea in American golf, but the most extensive one, too, with nine holes perched immediately above the crashing Pacific surf—the fourth through 10th plus the 17th and 18th. Pebble’s sixth through eighth are golf’s real Amen Corner, with a few Hail Marys thrown in over an ocean cove on the eighth from atop a 75-foot-high bluff.

  • Spyglass Hill

    If Pebble Beach is the Greatest Meeting of Land and Sea, then perhaps Spyglass Hill should be dubbed the Greatest Meeting of Sand and Trees. The defining takeaway at Spyglass Hill is how starkly the first five holes juxtapose the rest of your round. Sweeping ocean views with holes darting through a daring dunescape give way to the understated natural beauty and brawn of the Del Monte Forest.

    As an annual co-host of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, as well as a stroke-play venue for a pair of U.S. Amateur Championships (1999 and 2018), Spyglass Hill’s championship pedigree has been validated by the game’s very best.

  • The Links at Spanish Bay

    Meandering among sweeping sand dunes along 17-Mile Drive, The Links at Spanish Bay unveils some of the most spectacular seaside views in Pebble Beach. The rolling fairways flow through and around the gorgeous dunescape, briefly weaving between towering Monterey Pines, before returning to the white sand of Spanish Bay Beach for a thrilling finish along the wind-swept coast.

    Spanish Bay is ranked among the best public courses in the state and the country, and annually hosts the pros during the TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational.

Hilton Head

Golf has been part of life on Hilton Head Island since 1962. Today, the Hilton Head Island area is home to more than 26 championship courses, both public and private, designed by renowned golf architects like Robert Trent Jones Sr., Pete Dye, and Jack Nicklaus. Golfers of all skill levels can enjoy exciting golf experiences including oceanfront courses, traditional parkland courses, and more, all played with a delightful side of Southern hospitality and year-round enjoyable weather.

  • Harbour Town

    This course is the crowning achievement of famed designer Pete Dye and design consultant Jack Nicklaus. It places a premium on finesse, imagination and shot making, rather than strength.

  • Heron Point

    This course challenges golfers with risk-reward long and short holes. Fairways that move toward and away from hazards and Dye’s ubiquitous mounding and swales framing target areas make this a must-play course.

  • Atlantic Dunes

    A NGCOA National Course of the Year Award winner, this seaside course has a pronounced Lowcountry feel accented by coquina shells and seaside grass, designed by a five-time RBC Heritage winner.

  • George Fazio Course - Palmetto Dunes

    Hilton Head Island’s only par-70 public golf course, the George Fazio course at Palmetto Dunes is one of the island’s most distinctive and challenging layouts. Many golfers regard it as the most challenging public course on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, but don’t let that intimidate you. It is designed to be a true but fair test for golfers of all skill levels.

  • Robert Trent Jones - Palmetto Dunes

    Located right on the Atlantic Ocean in Hilton Head, South Carolina, the shifting winds make every hole play differently on the top-rated Jones course providing both challenges and rewards for players of every skill level.   • Hilton Head National

    Hilton Head National Golf Club, located in Bluffton, SC is just one mile from the bridges to Hilton Head Island. The course has been acclaimed for more than 30 years as “the best conditioned layout in the region.” Moreover, it’s routinely rated among the top public courses in South Carolina.

    Hall of Fame golfer Gary Player and course architecture award winner Bobby Weed each contributed their distinctive design philosophies here in ways that make every club in your bag important.

  • Old South Golf Links

    Old South Golf Links is regarded as a favorite year after year by local residents and visitors alike. Since the Clyde Johnston’s designed course opened, golfers continue to be attracted to the natural beauty of lowcountry golf that Old South provides.

    Just over the bridge from Hilton Head Island, vacationers regularly make the short trip to Bluffton to play golf amid towering oaks and rolling terrain while soaking in magnificent views from the island greens abutting the intracoastal marshes of McKay’s Creek. Golfers are often greeted by the abundant wildlife from wood storks to soaring hawks and grazing deer to alligators inhabiting the lagoons.

  • Country Club of Hilton Head

    When describing the Country Club of Hilton Head, designed by Rees Jones, the words variety and beauty come instantly to mind. The course presents a variety of golf holes you would not expect to see in the area and weaves a gorgeous trail through beautiful stands of live oaks.

    Each hole on the 18-hole championship course is distinct and provides many opportunities for players to test his or her skills; 13 doglegs and water on virtually all holes, boldly contoured fairways, pot bunkers and grass hollows.

  • Robert Cupp - Palmetto Hall

    Unique. Innovative. Eminently playable. The Robert Cupp course is a stunningly original design that tests the better player, but accommodates higher handicappers as well.

    Cupp, Golf World’s former Architect of the Year, opened his signature course at Palmetto Hall in 1993, Robert Cupp Course at Palmetto Hall on Hilton Head Island had the highest slope rating from the back tees (152) of any course in the state. Although that honor has since bestowed upon Pete Dye and the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort – which comes in at the USGA max of 155.

    Despite this difficult rating from the tips, the course continues to draw high praise for its flexibility, sound shot values and impeccable year-round conditioning.

  • Haig Point

    A private course on Daufuskie Island, Haig Point was first designed in by Rees Jones in 1986. The initial routing included 20 holes, including the two extra greens. The Signature course has appeared in Golf Digest’s “America’s 100 Greatest Courses” and “Best in State,” and has earned a coveted position in Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 in the World.”

Bandon Dunes

  • Bandon Dunes

    Designed in 1999 by Scotsman David McLay Kidd, the course is perched on a bluff high above the Pacific Ocean where mother nature's ever presence had already laid the blueprint for what would become one of golf's most iconic courses. The routing teases all of your senses before turning back home to the epicenter of the resort, unfolding along pristine native dunes where expansive ocean views are revealed numerous times during your journey. This is a thinker's course. Winds are ever-present, and the varying elements create a new experience each time you play.

  • Pacific Dunes

    Designed by Tom Doak and opened in 2001, Pacific Dunes is remarkably different in character and shot making requirements than our other courses. Pacific Dunes doesn't feel like it was built as much as it was discovered. Rippling fairways remain just as they were found and natural bunkers line the landscape as they have for centuries. The course emerges from shore pines to spectacular 60-foot sand dunes. When the wind blows, precise approach shots are a necessity. Pacific Dunes is short enough to give you hope but rugged enough to test every facet of your game.

  • Bandon Trails

    When Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw began working in the sand to uncover our third course, they faced the challenge of following Bandon Dunes and Pacific Dunes. Opened in 2005, Bandon Trails begins atop a massive sand dune, then quickly opens into a sprawling meadow. The routing then works higher into the coastal forest, before finally returning to finish in the dunes. The course is enjoyable to walk and is a constant reminder of how the game was originally created among inland rolling dunes with dramatic ocean vistas.

  • Old Macdonald

    The fourth course at Bandon Dunes pays homage to golf course architect Charles Blair Macdonald by asking one simple question: What would Macdonald have created had the Oregon Coast been his canvas? Inspired by Macdonald's iconic work, course architects Tom Doak and Jim Urbina crafted a course that seeks the answer upon vast greens, among myriad angles of play, and from the depths of fierce bunkers.

  • Bandon Preserve

    A unique experience in every way, Bandon Preserve is a 13-hole par-3 course that delivers a level of enjoyment matched only by the spectacular views. Opened in 2012 and designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, Bandon Preserve begins high atop a sand dune and rolls down toward the beach. The Pacific Ocean provides the backdrop to every hole and the course’s mission through the support of the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation is to promote a region where healthy ecosystems drive a vibrant economy.

  • Sheep Ranch

    Renovated by the world-class design team of Coore & Crenshaw and co-founded by Phil Friedmann and Mike Keiser, the Sheep Ranch was for many years a mysterious golf landscape just north of Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Now with one mile of ocean frontage, nine green sites right along the edge of the continent, and stunning Pacific Ocean views on every hole, Sheep Ranch continues the legacy of “Golf As It Was Meant to Be” on the Pacific Coast.

Streamsong

  • Streamsong Black

    Situated on Ulster's magnificent Causeway Coast, Portstewart Golf Club is one of the very few 45 hole complexes in Europe. And while the jewel in the Portstewart crown is undoubtedly the Strand Course, visitors may also choose from the par 64 Old Course and the nine hole Riverside Course. Measuring 6,779 yards from the championship stakes, the Strand Course is set in classic links country amidst towering sand dunes, and is a difficult but fair links layout and offers magnificent views of the Donegal Hills, Atlantic Ocean, Strand Beach and River Bann.

  • Streamsong Blue

    The Blue starts a bit more dramatically than the Red, with the back tee on the first hole on top of a 75-foot sand dune. It has more water carries off the tee, and it’s also a bit more compact, since it sits in the center with the Red Course looping around its outside edges. The Blue definitely has the bolder set of greens, some with massive shelves and dips. Like the Red, the terrain teases with hills without ever becoming steep. The Blue tends to offer wider fairways, with designer Tom Doak setting up strategic lines of play into greens that feature more internal contours and shelves than the Red.

  • Streamsong Red

    With the unique Florida terrain, Coore and Crenshaw delivered a masterpiece in this course. The defining characteristics of the Red course are its massive scale and variety. The course has a wonderful mix of bump-and-run links holes and target-like water holes. Some greens are perched like those at Pinehurst, others are massive with multi-levels like those at St. Andrews. The turf is firm and bouncy, and while the routing is sprawling, it’s easily walkable.

  • The Chain Course

    Streamsong’s long awaited fourth course, The Chain, is now accepting tee time reservations for preview play beginning December 1, 2023, so you will be among the first to experience the new addition to the resort. The Chain is designed to dial up the fun factor for Streamsong guests, with match play and walking at the heart of the experience. Each hole has teeing areas (instead of tee markers) with dragline chains, similar to those used in the mining process on the Streamsong site, to mark the beginning and end of each teeing area. The idea here is for guests to choose where they’d like to play each hole in a match play format with the winner of each hole choosing the tee location on the following hole.
